Bad Behavior in Michigan

Maybe it's time to institute a no talking rule in serious tournaments? Except for "I double" "I pass" etc.
People are ruthless and some will resort to any lengths to put their opponents off. One top player was losing his match to me and his friend came over and they started talking during my move. That was a bit of a distraction I had a 6 point prime or something like that and was trying to avoid a bad roll next turn so I kind of lost my train of thought when they started talking, then he said "meanwhile Michael's trying to bore me to death". He was frustrated that he was losing and tried to speed me up is my guess. I didn't take it personally or think it was out of line at all.
I've played Greg a few times and like him, but his constant banter reminds me of chouette play and cheapens an important tournament match for me. I'm sure if I'd ask him to stop he would. I DID ask him not to move checkers too quickly with both hands one time and he said "ok sorry you're right". I believe it's a kind of nervous energy and not gamesmanship.
