TDs in MC keep up the "good" work

Until 2007, WBC had 2 non-progressive consolations; First was played to 13 pts, second to 9 points, and all was fine.
Because it wasn't progressive.
Last year, to the satisfaction of players, progressive consolation system was introduced. Trouble is, there are 2 consolation at WBC..
No need to have a math degree to figure what happens, within the very same time frame, when you make those 2 consolations progressive... In second consolation, late losers from TWO flights (Main and 1st conso) take a lot of space in that 512/1024 bracket. And obvisously when you happen to lose on first round of main event, you have to win 8 or 9 matches to be in the money. Ironically, it might have been a lesser evil this year... attendance being so low! Beyond the 256 mark, this format of 2 progressive consolation would have just been impossible to handle... Of course it was a good idea to make it progressive, but it really should start immediately after the first round, on the tuesday.
At this event, everything was tried; non-progressive (back then when it seemed to be too complex to figure the prog conso system), now progressive, great, but still 2 conso (why that?), shorter matches, start earlier, finish later.. Everything really. But while the length of the event keeps growing with less and less players, the use of clocks is still not considered - while it would sort scheduling AND security issues..
