I love to watch the majors. Growing up I played more baseball and basketball, but played golf at least twice a week during the summer. Twenty years ago I achieved a 6 handicap, which was good for fourth place in my own family. It is an extremely hard game. If Tom Watson wins tomorrow it will be one of the amazing events of the last ten years in sports. Not quite the USA winning the gold in Hockey, but something to remember forever. Get up early, 5 a.m. start for me, Tivo it, tape it, whatever. At least we can watch this one, unlike the M.C. backgammon finals, what a joke.

By the way, I like Cink, at 15 to 1 odds to win tomorrow. He hits the ball straight and is an excellent and aggressive putter and this course favors aggressive putters. But, I am pulling for Watson, also an aggressive putter, whose odds are 7 to 1.
