ER scale linear?

In Response To: Let's Be Consistent -- An Error is an Error (phil Simborg)

So player A gets a 2.0 and his opp (player B) a 6.0.

In another match, player C scores a 7.0 and his opp an 11.0.

Did player A and player C perform equally well?

Also, this method rewards the lucky draw (weak opp vs. strong opp) a lot. Nice thought but it seems to have some issues.
