Whether the following applies to the 5-4 decision or not, I think the advantage of not TMP'ing now with the possibility that one might have to do it later is (similar to not blotting now when one might have to later) tied to the fact that opp (the evil Stick :) has to play first (and third and...). If he volunteers TMP then (as mentioned earlier) we might justifiably volunteer TMP.

As with many BG positions, there is a tradeoff between the two plays and apparently yesterday's decision (the headliner of this thread) was right on the fence.
