A) The World Championship (WC) should boast the biggest prizes of any tournament. If this is achieved then we're more likely to achieve B). If some TD is able to land a big sponsorship deal and add a lot of cash to the prize pool, then that TD should certainly have a shot at arranging the tournament. Suggestion: Let TDs all over the world participate in an annual bidding for the right to host the following year's WC. The winner of the bidding is whoever guarantees the biggest added prize pool. The winner of the right to host the WC should of course also commit to following a standard format for the tournament as well as standard rules, a fixed time slot in the calendar and finally a fixed entry fee+reg.
B) The WC should attract the best players in the world. If the money is good enough and the tournament is always well run, then we rate to see many more of the game's best players.
C) Ideally, the WC should move around to different parts of the world to promote the game and make the hassle/cost of travel+accomodation equal for all players over time.
