Well Achim. Here is one you will like to read. Noone has gone through so much hassle while entering the USA than me. As you might know, I am German citizen, US permanent resident and Iranian born. No matter what nationality my passport is, my place of birth will always remain Tehran and myself feel as Iranian more than anything else, even after having lived 35 years in Europe. Entering, or should I rather say re-entering (since I am Green Card holder) the USA is a mess for me and a real flip coin. I might go through immigration without any problem but I have experienced the downside of it as well. Being held up at immigration for hours, going through several interviews and questionnings, having my entire luggage carefully examined, being treated like a real criminal, having missed my connection flights, etc, etc, etc (at least, no cavity search has been done on me). Nevertheless, I return to the USA regularly and I understrand the reasons behind those procedures, even though they are kind of discriminating and humiliating. I like the USA, I like the US backgammon players and I love backgammon, and I even stage the US Open in that country, willing to accept the hassle as a trade for something that I like and believe in...
