Data retention directive (EU).

All EU-members are forced to save communication data, which is phone, cell phone, internet connection (only source and destination addresses, no content) for a certain amount of time. The retention time depends on the country you live but it must be at least for six months.
Just another shitty bill for getting everything under control. Originally this was - of course - support for the war against terrorism. Meanwhile also the music and film industry and others are eager.
There is a complaint of unconstitutionality against this bill ongoing here in Germany, which was signed by 34,000 citizens.
IN GB there are now plans for saving also the content ... google for "Black Box" and "Brown".
Ciao
