How do you play this set of double 5's?

A not-so-standard Fram (pay now/later) problem.

White getting better? Yes.

Blue getting worse? Yes.

Out-of-the-woods if missed? No.

QF says 18/8(2). I'd like to think I'd at least consider that play OtB. A completely stripped outfield and ownership of the midpoint is a flashing yellow light (or should be) in everyone's vision.
