Let's suppose a Giant is 150 Elo points higher than an average Open player and 300 points higher than an Intermediate. (These are just wild guesses.) The rating formula says:
- a 150-point difference in an 11-point match gives the favorite 63% chance of winning the match. That works out to be 74% luck, 26% skill.
- a 300-point difference in an 11-point match gives the favorite 76% chance of winning the match. That works out to be 48% luck, 52% skill.
