Thanks. Once again my 70's memory hurts me, whether it's because my memory is bad or I was given bad advice back then.

I am still surprised that the difference between hitting on the acepoint and hitting on the deucepoint is so large. I agree with you (in retrospect) that giving up the barpoint is too much concession for some nebulous purity.

Also interesting that the two top plays offset (one with total wins, one with gammon wins) to make it a virtual coinflip.
