There is an unwritten set of dos and don'ts here for GNU-bg rollout settings. I'll recap the a couple I remember:

1) Never use truncatation for cube rollouts (and prefer untruncated whenever time allows).

2) Use 2-ply cube, even when you can only 'afford' 0-ply play (but prefer 2-ply for both).

3) Rollouts are better than evaluations ("Dahl's Conjecture").
