Enticing. I like the idea. Just one suggestion:

I don't like the artificial dicerolls. If you don't like a random match, play several and pick the one that you find most interesting. This shouldn't be a contest to find out who the best QF player is, IMO. Often the garden variety plays help separate the true experts from the pretenders.

This is similar to a Magriel-Gartner quiz.
