depth vs breadth

I would rather have XG play GNU in a money session. But, no one seems to have any kind of method for doing so.

This opens old wounds. I know that for years people have wanted some kind of common interface so bots could compete head-to-head quickly. (From what I know Dueler is slow because it has to pattern recognize checkers being moved on a screen! That's not a slam at dueler as this was the best way to handle a heels-dug in situation.)

Many bots play on FIBS. GNU-bg played on GG. But AFAIK SW refused to make their software available on any site. Does GNU-bg currently work on GridGammon? If so, how hard for XG to interface there? Wouldn't that solve the 'problem'??
