It really is time to make GNU 4 ply the standard by which non rolled out matched are judged. (4 ply for multicore/threaded comps..2ply for old comps)

Alone that you doesn't mention 3-ply (how could it be, that looking deeper in the game tree is an disadvantage? Try to explain this to a chess programmer) is an indication that we haven't reached the state where one bot could be declared the standard (at least until we have gained more systematic knowledge about XG to judge XG).
