No, this is different. The odds of rolling a 6, BEFORE THE FACT are 1/6. If you roll the dice but leave the cup over them the odds change. If you then ask what is the probability that you ROLLED a 6, it is either 0 or 1. You could say from our point of view of limited knowledge that the "odds" are 1/6. But nothing you do at that point will change whether or not you rolled a 6; it's already set.
