A rather non-zenlike answer. Would you belittle others so rudely if you had the courage to put your real name on your post?

I also have been around many of both types of people you mention. And I counter your last sentence by changing one word:

Any person with slightly more than a medium intellect can become a world class scientist (and not just of the self-proclaimed type) if they have the desire.
