At GG I guess 8/7*/1 is a candidate but it's not obvious that leads to more gammons, and it sure looks like it leads to fewer wins.

9/3, 6/5 looks safe and fast. 8/2, 6/5 looks safe but slow(er). The way I see it, not only does 'slow' mean fewer gammons, but more time for you to get awkward (and leave a shot).
