I'm not a huge favorite of this process (you posting your picks before others vote) but am not going to kick and scream as subjectivity is hard to objectify. It's a popularity contest now, and how perfect is that??

It will be VERY interesting to see how the final vote correlates with your opinions.

I like "America's Got Talent" TV show where the late rounds are (technically speaking) 100% determined by call-in public vote. However, the judges state their opinions before the voting opens. Your plan is quite similar to this. Most of the time the at home audience agrees with the judges, but not always (I'd guess roughly 85%). Part of that is independent (i.e. if someone is really good it shouldn't be surprising that the pros and ams agree) but I'm sure there is significant cross-polinization.
