I avoided 24/23 like the plague, fearing getting trapped off the 24-point. But as was pointed out here, White's opening of his barpoint is a double-edged sword since White could then roll a five and happily jump out from the 23-point. Secondarily, White has a spare on his 7-point making it harder to bait the trap.

I'll be quite interested in seeing your rollouts of the hit-vs-nohit situations.
