There is nothing to stop a cheater from knocking over a tube if they don't like the roll, just as there is nothing to stop a cheater from quickly picking up his dice and saying they were cocked. But these are OBVIOUS ploys, and if done even once, can be called to the attention of the tournament director and a warning given and possibly a proctor assigned. There are MANY obvious ways to cheat, like taking off 6 checkers on one roll, moving checkers with your elbow, and many others I could list.

The goal is not to stop the obvious, but to prevent the devious, and to make it harder for both with good equipment and good rules.
