In Response To: Re: Second set of Depreli positions and XG (Matt Cohn-Geier)

I am indeed about to start a new BOT comparison project.

I'll be comparing:

Snowie 4 3-Ply

GNU 2-Ply, 3-Ply, 4-Ply

XG 3-Ply, 4-Ply, XGRoller

BGB 3-Ply

The reason it hasn't started yet is, I was waiting for Xavier to release the new version of XG where XGRoller settings are reproducible and I'm waiting for the final batch of GNU 4-Ply analysis to be finished. Plus the analysis from Frank for BGB.

One I've got all the info back I'll be asking for volunteers to help me roll out ALL disagreements.

I'll post the positions as problems on the forum.

This time round instead of doing a set number of trials like last time i.e. 1296, I'm favoring rolling them out to a set JSD. If the plays look TCTC maybe set a maximum.

For opening / replies /third move errors, I'll just use Sticks (GNU) rollouts or any other of sufficient strength available.

I'm planning to use GNU World Class default setting to roll out the positions

Michael
