Far easier to use than gnubg, I doubt.
Gnubg has a complex interface because it allows complicate settings. It's the price to pay, but you get a bonus reward: asking yourself questions abuot gnubg options you learn how it really works. Does this help your game ? Not sure, but it can help understanding the results the bot gives.
Making a bg bot extremely easy to use is very simple: take your favorite bot, remove all the options. It reminds me the microwave owen I had in my hotel suite in Boston: it had a button labelled "Popcorn" ... geez !!
That said, I've always been in favor of a bit of redesign of all gnubg options in order to make the interface clearer. But clearer does not have to mean simpler.
Of all the arguments in favor of XG mentionned, the speed seems to be the one and only sure one: "inexpensive" (I mean, gnubg is free, right ?), "easier to use", "consistently being improved", and "full of nice features" are not very convincing, at least if you compare to gnubg.
MaX.
P.S. I do welcome the arrival of XG: competiton is good !
