In Response To: ruling in Madison (Bob Koca)

There is one situation in which I would like to see a third party call illegal plays: When somebody is recording a match by computer.

The rule would be: As soon as the match transcriber becomes aware of a misplay (as reported by the computer) he notifies the players. The game is backed up to the point of the illegal play, the play corrected, and the game resumed from that point, with subsequent rolls (if any) being rerolled.

This would be fair to both players and allow a clean transcription of the match.
