The chouette of my dreams would have less to do with the rules and more to do with the members. It would be full consulting and each member would required to comment on each play. We would pause for 30 minutes after each game for refreshments and non-backgammon topics.

Members: Adam Smith; Albert Einstein; Thomas Jefferson; Sigmund Freud; John Belushi; Cameron Diaz.

We would definitely be using cups and a baffle box to keep the game and conversation moving quickly and because, reportedly, Einstein does not always shake his dice after a double!
