I see a couple reasons to stay on the 18-point -- one positive and one non-negative. If we stay we are a thorn in Stick's ass. E.g. his fives are awkward. If we leave we don't get to cover the 3-point until at least next roll.

Is this going to be one of those rolls (first I've seen here, but many on GoL) where the thematic choice loses because the play with the second die splits the vote? 12/10 looks better to me since the next (front) point in line is more easily started with 8's and 9's than with 7's and 11's. The two plays are likely close, whichever deuce is played.
