Taki Board Copy

I do not defend copying Taki nor do I condemn it....I am friends with both Taki and Mete, and I am also friends with Bob Z. I have referred MANY people to all three and all three appreciate it. If you want a great leather board, I recommend Bob; and if you want a great board in the US I recommend Taki, and if you are in Europe, I recommend FM Boards (Mete). The freight cost and the taxes make it almost impossible for Taki to sell his boards in Europe.

I agree that legal is not the determinate of ethical, but I am not sure that someone who makes a nice wooden board that is similar to Taki's is doing anything unethical. Look how many leather boards look alike...surely someone must have come up with that design first?

My major reason for my post is the Bill Riles suggested that I was promoting the boards and had a financial interest, and I do not. And he was suggesting that I was not being a very good friend to Taki, and I believe that is between me and Taki. Why don't you ask him how he feels about me as a friend and how many boards he has sold because I have directed people to him over the years?
