Common Errors?

I'm sure I'll eventually think of many others, but one that immediately pops into mind is in the bearoff.

When looking to decide where to leave gaps and stacks, my rule of thumb is to leave the stack on the point that is double the point with the gap. So a gap on the 2 point works well with a stack on the 4-point, etc. because rolling the gap number allows you to unstack into the gap. I see people misplay this constantly.
