Common Errors?

I often notice misplays at DMP. A good move at a normal score is usually also a good move at DMP, but there are exceptions. G's don't matter so launching a double-edged blitz is often incorrect ATS. Advanced anchors lose some of their value as well since the gammon losses they protect against are meaningless. Pure play is better than normal ATS since you get a strong prime if your pure play works and probably a well-timed anchor game or back game (with no gammon risk) if it doesn't. Sometimes the dice give you no choice of gameplans of course, but keep these concepts in mind when they do. When you're not sure what to do, try putting the opponents upcoming rolls into various categories and estimate your wins in each category for each of your alternatives and choose the play that wins the most.
