Are you trying to convince me that software bugs represent flawed logic?

I am in the software development business. By definition, if there is a bug, there are flaws with the logic. The challenge in trying to reverse engineer the root cause of a bug from its symptoms is sometimes to guess what wacky train of thought or typo the developer might have had.

Someone divides when they should have multiplied. They use integer division when they should have used floating point division. They type ">" instead of "<", etc.

The logic I gave was utter nonsense and clearly wrong in every way imaginable. It was so ridiculous that it was really intended as a joke. But it arrives at the symptom that was observed. Software can be a comedy of errors. I've seen stranger things done in software in real life.
