It came up in an actual game. I've forgotten the moves, but I could look them up if anyone's interested.

What else can we do?

We could pursue the implementation of an adaptive rollout algorithm such as the one I described here a while back. The more I learn about bot weaknesses, the more I become convinced that this would be a good idea.
