TG to redouble but not TG for an initial double?

Many positions where potential gammons are involved and the equity of not doubling from the center falls just shy of the equity of doubling would be too-good to double if you owned the cube. If you change this to a money game it would be most positions rather than many.
Here is an example:
The score (after 0 games) is: gnubg 0, User 0 (match to 15 points)
Move number 15: User on roll, cube decision?
gnubg 122
User 107 Position ID: 2O6CgwBsd4IHAA Match ID: cAngAQAAAAAA
• User doubles
Cube decision 3-ply cubeless equity +0.831 (Money: +0.825) 0.804 0.236 0.002 - 0.196 0.020 0.000 Cubeful equities: 1. Double, pass +1.000 2. Double, take +1.548 +0.548 3. No double +0.998 -0.002 Proper cube action: Double, pass
And if you owned the cube:
The score (after 0 games) is: gnubg 0, User 0 (match to 15 points)
Move number 17: User on roll, cube decision?
gnubg 122
User 107 Position ID: 2O6CgwBsd4IHAA Match ID: UQngAQAAAAAA
• User doubles
Alert: wrong double ( -0.016)!
Cube decision 3-ply cubeless equity +0.836 (Money: +0.825) 0.804 0.236 0.002 - 0.196 0.020 0.000 Cubeful equities: 1. No double +1.016 2. Double, take +1.539 +0.523 3. Double, pass +1.000 -0.016 Proper cube action: Too good to redouble, pass (2.9%)
