Besides the obvoious 3-3, keeping the anchor is better for all large 3's like 4-3, 5-3, and 6-3. Splitting 22/20 is better for rolls such as 3-2, 3-1, 4-1, 5-1, 6-1.
Without doing an exhaustive count it looks like splitting is better for the immediate sequences. The long term considerations seem to pale in comparison. So 22/20 is my deuce.
I don't see any advantage to playing 5/1 with the 4. It will be VERY difficult to even get a swing at a second checker since at worst (White's PoV) White safeties one on his upcoming shake. A blot on the acepoint is a detriment to covering the more important 2-point (i.e. due to loss of covers from the 5-point).
22/20, 13/9.
