And now a serious query/problem/challenge

Chuck, you're looking for a noncontact double/must-take position with cubeless equity greater or equal to 0.600 (your "careful wording" excludes 000001 vs 000001 which has cubeless equity of 0.625 but is not a must-take).
Doesn't exist. I'll let Bob prove it ;-
Rewritten as I have rewritten it, I believe I raised the very same question in a thread now lost in unretrievable gammonline archives. I recall that at that time I was looking at http://www.bkgm.com/articles/CubeHandlingInRaces/ which includes a guideline for relating CPW to cube action based on Tom's database of positions:
"Your opponent should take if your CPW is less than .777." (Tom's note: "These are not necessarily the best universal numbers; they are just what worked best on the positions in the database.")
CPW of 77.7% corresponds to equity of 0.555. By trial and error I found one or more positions which were takes and had equity greater than -0.555, but they were still a long way from 0.600.
