Neil...."My question back then was... should a bye count as a win or not at all towards a player's record? I think Rob Maier believes not at all. I have to give the bye issue some thought."
In Pittsburgh, the place you finish in will be based on the number of matches you win. If after 8 rounds, you won 5 and lost two, while sitting idle in the other round, you will finish tied with the player(s) who were eliminated after 7 rounds with 5 wins and 2 losses.
I'm working on documentation for the format, starting with a field of 72 players. When I'm satisfied that they are error free, I'll make them available. Until them, I'm doing my best not to respond to these threads :) I feel compelled when my name gets tossed out though. Carry on!
