Chuck writes: Common sense leads me to believe that if two players ACCIDENTALLY start playing to the wrong matchscore and it is not discovered until the match is over, then the matchscore they agreed to play to stands.

It is a curious phenomenon that "common sense" always best supports my own opinion, while the opinions of others, although sometimes sensible, are also sometimes lunatic. It's never the other way around!

Chuck writes: Players should never be allowed/permitted to agree to changing the rules without consent of director.

Does "never" mean only when the players have "intentionally" changed the rules, but not when they have "accidently" changed them?
