Granted, a director would be faced with a dilema if it were later revealed that they or a staff memeber were saying something that did not match the drawsheet, but they could just as easily take the position "why are you asking me - you should have looked at the drawsheet", and they can similarly question why the opponent did not independently verify match length which would have caught the error.

The rules are clear in this matter. What a particular director would do is another matter. And if nothing is written on the drawsheet or posted elsewhere, then all bets are off.
