yeah....well....I'm not wading into that morass. Perhaps when Phil gets "USBG" rolling one of the items they can take up is a set of rules that they expect to be followed at ABT events. Meanwhile, I'll use the US Backgammon rules (even if I can't specifically point to how they were drawn up, and under what authority) that are commonly available at events and online, with whatever modifications I feel are appropriate. If not everyone is going to follow all of the good rules, I'm certainly not going to feel compelled to follow the bad ones. So long as you document what you are doing in advance, I don't see the problem.
