Sometimes I have trouble finding (what I consider to be) the second best play. If you hit, you cover the 8-point. If you're not going to hit then I guess you run 24/13.

More checkers back; anchor vs. none; better homeboard -- all Magriel Safe-vs-Bold Criteria. "One back? Attack!"
