I must add, again in response to Daniel's post that no amount of rule revisions would solve these problems, that there ARE many conflicts and problems that truly could be avoided if the rules were written more concisely and explained better, possibly with examples (not necessarily in the rule book, but in a Guide that is available to all tournament directors and players). I would even propose a separate rule book or guide for money or chouette play, and we even have a set of written rules that we have agreed upon for our Chicago chouettes in an effort to avoid misunderstandings about what the rules really are. (A copy is available to anyone who would like one.)
