Simborg's Chouette Rule

If the rule is as I stated in the previous message, then it seems that one might even be able to construct a position and a sequence of rolls where Player A is not only able to get off the gammon, but can even win the game using the rule. Moreover, one might further be able to arrange that if Player A did not have the benefit of the new rule, but instead played "perfectly" according to the usual definition of perfect play, then Player A would lose.
But I'd like to get clarification of the rule before trying to construct such a situation.
