Simborg's Chouette Rule

In Response To: Simborg's Chouette Rule (Bob Koca)

Some people do it that way too, but if the concern is that the intermediate players tend to take forever trying to puzzle out which gammon-saving move is optimal, 5 out of 6 times you still have to put up with that delay.

If people choose to play this way to keep the chouette moving, it is really not that big a deal. I'm actually sort of amused that some folks talk about it like it's the end of the world.
