Hi Phil,

Quite a coincidence, I was just thinking of a new fun variant of backgammon not 30 minutes ago, while I was sitting outside having a coffee and a smoke watching the rain come down.

I do not know if it has been thought of before, but instead of checkers you use different color marshmallows as men, or if you're fussy about hygiene, Hershey chocolate kisses with different color wrapping (or something else altogether).

You play backgammon as usual but when you hit an opponent's blot, you actually eat it.

The player who gets the most (if any) checkers home and off the board wins!

Should be interesting, though fattening, or worse, if you have a problem with sugar.
