You bet that brain damaged cube actions can happen - and to anyone. I've been on both sides of accidental doubles at Crawford (and I believe that I once even GAVE the cube as the Crawford player). I've been on both sides of a 2-away player accidentally redoubling to 4. Some very good players can do some very stupid things in some very important matches. It happens. But only in live play. Online and bot play usually prevents such nonsense.
