In Response To: A Puzzle that Reall matters (Phil Simborg)

I really don't feel I have to explain my every word, motive, and sentence to you or anyone else, though I have to admit I have spent a lot of time doing so to you and a few others who do take things out of context and feel you have the right to challenge my motives, my semantics, and/or my reasons for playing.

So for the record, yes, I only play backgammon for the money and I put up with jerks I can't stand if they are bad enough players. I don't care if the game is played "purely" and "properly" and "fairly" and I bend the rules and cheat as much as I can to win as much as I can. You can quote me on all of this. And if I were you, I would avoid playing with me as much as possible.

I was just trying to generate some discussion, and I'm not challenging you. I didn't take anything out of context -- I took one quote, interpreted it, and then asked you for clarification.

Since everybody has the right to play backgammon any way, with whomever and for any reason they like, I have the right to keep up my commentary about chouettes in general.
