A Puzzle that Reall matters

A chouette is a social form of backgammon. I occasionally go to my local club and play for $10 or $20 a point. I am going there to get out of the house, tell and be told a few jokes, discuss politics, sports, and a variety of other subjects. It is usually men socializing with men, no discrimination intended. My result matters little to me financially but it makes a difference to me from a competitive standpoint. I try to make the right decisions, often record positions to be studied later, and generally have a good time. Most of the people I play with greet me fondly and act happy to see me, even though I am a consistent winner. If backgammon was only about the money it would not be fun to play.
