XG background analysis question

I am glad you are enjoying the program. XG uses 4 base threads with different priorities:
So, Jason, you are right: playing will take precedence on the background analyze. If you want to Rollout a position while it analyze it will fall in the 3rd thread and it will take precendence on the rest of the backgroun analyze.
- 1) Main interface: average priority
- 2) Playing engine: average priority
- 3) Background analyze (anything initiated by the player) : lower
- 4) Background analyze (Initiated by the program) : lowest
To jdg: you do not need to change the priority as the background analyze is already set under average: your PC will always be responsive even if the cpu is maxed out to 100%.
The parallel Rollouts are allmost done. The next release will also include Multi-core support (1.04 handles only 2, on my core i7 it is 3.5 faster: 1,680,000 position per second!). Last major addition is XGRoller+ (about 5-10 elo stronger, 4 time slower than XGRoller).
