Yes, XGR+ will be almost as fast on a modern i7 type (effectively 8 cores) as XGR is on the older, but still modern dual core type computers. This was the design goal, 4 or 5 times slower and 5 ELO or more stronger.

When I get back to work, likely Weds, I'll try to play game or two vs XGR+ on the fast comp (calibrates 1.6 million/sec) to see if plays at a good speed compared to a live opponent. I've played a few games on my laptop, which is about 4 times slower than the work comp and XGR+ can think for a minute sometimes, but if most of these long trances are reduced to 15 to 20 seconds, high end users will have a splendid and super world class opp, noting we think XGR+ is every bit as strong as 5 ply.

Most users will also like the parallel RO's.

I've shown off the latest beta to quite a few XG users here in Vegas and the response is very positive.
