These technical questions about xg are best answered by Xavier himself. Instead of posting here and hoping someone will give you the right answer, you can email support@extremegammon.com and usually, within a few hours, Xavier himself will answer with a very precise, detailed response.

The good news is that when you contact Xavier and let him know there is something you don't understand or there is an improvement that you would like to see made, he either incorporates the improvement into his next upgrade or tells you why he can't if he can't. For the most part, the program already has what most players want and need, and what it didn't have for the very advanced users, he is in the process of incorporating.

To someone like me, who simply wants to know quickly what the best play is and does not do tremendously extensive rollouts often, (and I believe the majority of players and users are in this category), EG is great in that it is fast and extremely accurate compared to other bots (as expressed by Neil and others who have tested it independently).
