Onetime shuffle rule

Put me in the 'not-broken' camp. I think this is one of the interesting parts of the game (trying out different moves and seeing the resulting pattern), and the number of times that the opponent (or myself) can't reset back to the original position is completely trivial (less than one per long tournament, in my experience). Clearly it adds a little more need to concentrate on the other person's play, but the benefits when it is my play are important, and a natural part of playing BG for me.
Counting the race (lower pip count after testing a play) and counting shots are some of the places where this becomes important, and especially in the second case, it can be very hard to do so if you can't try out different plays.
